Part Number: TIPD158 Tool/software: I am using below circuit to generate 4 to 20ma output .I have changed input voltage from 3V to 3.3V .i would like to know weather below circuit will generate the 4 to 20ma output without any heating issue. Secondly if there is issue then can i use directly 3.3v or 3V low quiscent current LDO to generate the 4 to 20ma . Regards, Vipin

Forum Post: RE: ADS7138-Q1: Abnormal read register value, unable to successfully write register
Hi Ziming, First of all, I'm glad your first issue was fixed! I believe the reason for this is that Channel 0 is still selected. To change to Channel 2, you must configure the MANUAL_CHID field in the MANUAL_CH_SEL register (address 0x11). After selecting the channel, you can then start the conversion with the CNVVST bit and read from the RECENT_CH2 registers when the conversion is complete. Let me know if this helps or if I can provide more detail. The general process is described in figure 8-12, but instead you are manually initiating conversions with the CNVST bit and reading the conversions from the RECENT_CHx registers. Regards, Joel

Hi Dongil, Sorry for the delay, I was out of office. Yes, using a multichannel simultaneous sampling ADC would be ideal. We recently released the ADS9811 , 8-channel, 18-bit, 1MSPS simultaneous sampling ADC with integrated analog front end. We have other simultaneous sampling ADCs as well, you may filter through them here . Best regards, Samiha

Forum Post: RE: AFE11612-SEP: Queries Regarding ADC Reference, ENOB, AVcc, and Remote Temperature Inputs
Hello Erin, Could you please clarify whether the sink and source current values are specified per I/O pin or for all I/O pins combined? I’m trying to determine the maximum current consumption on the IOVcc rail at 3.3V. While I understand that a reset might help mitigate issues arising from an incorrect power-on sequence, I would like to better understand the implications: What are the potential risks or malfunctions that could occur if the recommended power-on sequence is not followed? Does using a non-preferred sequence introduce any additional electrical or thermal stress on the component over time?

Forum Post: ADS4249EVM: , FMC-ADC-ADAPTER and ZCU102. Dimensions issue
Part Number: ADS4249EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FMC-ADC-ADAPTER , Tool/software: Hello, We are having an issue with boards dimensions trying to connect an ADS4249EVM board to a ZCU102 dev board using an FMC-ADC-ADAPTER. When FMC-ADC-ADAPTER is connected to FMC on ZCU102 board the ADS4249EVM can not be connected to adapter as it is blocked by edge of the ZCU102 board. Seems like about 1.5mm gap is missing between boards. Could you suggest any solution? Thank you.

Hi Tom, really sorry for the delay. I took waveform by comparing old and new microcontroller. Old: CR16MCS9VJE7/NOPB New: FS32K146HAT0MLHLHR Waveforms are not proper in new microcontroller. What may be the reasons? I am getting 32 pulses in old uC with equal interval between each 8 pulses. Whereas in new uC I am getting a total of 40 pulses.

Forum Post: ADS1219: External Reference Voltage Selection
Part Number: ADS1219 Tool/software: Hi, The ADS1219 is used with AVDD, DVDD = 5V. I would like to input differential outputs operating at a 2.5V reference ±1.8V (4.3 to 0.7V) to AIN0 and AIN1. The internal reference voltage of 2.048V is not sufficient, so I plan to connect an external reference voltage to VAINP and VAINN. (The maximum value of VAINP-VAINN is 3.6V.) Is it okay if the external reference voltage is 3.6V to 5V? (For example, a reference voltage of 4.0V) Or does it have to be between 4.3V and 5V? (For example, a reference voltage of 4.5V) Best Regards, Koji

Forum Post: RE: ADS4249EVM: , FMC-ADC-ADAPTER and ZCU102. Dimensions issue
Hi, I think you may have to use a short FMC ribbon cable. I'd think samtec or high tech global might have something that can work. Just check that it has all signals you are interested in routed before purchasing one. I just checked the layers for the ADC board and it looks like there is nothing on the edge of the board other than solid copper regions, likely ground or power layers, so I think you could potentially just file the edge of the PCB down to fit, as long as the filing/sanding is clean it should be ok. I can't officially advise or recommend you to do that on this forum but if you wanted to go that route at your own risk, I think it is possible. Just be sure to check that there is no short between 5V and GND before applying power. Thanks, Chase
