Thank you for your reply and slides, and I have a external clock signal now. However, my tsw3070evm had no reaction to the clock signal. When I input the clock signal and put the J14 from 1-2pin to 2-3pin. The output of the tsw3070evm disappeared. Maybe the generator need a certain kind format of clock signal. I tried LVPECL which seems like invalid to tsw3070evm . You indicated the clock signal should be 3dbm in your slides but I am not sure what’s that means.

Forum Post: RE: ADS1298 Writing Registers with Daisy-Chain
Hi Mes, Happy to help! Since we were straying off topic in the old thread I created a new one for us. Have you had a chance to search the forum for the answers to these questions? 1) As posted in the pin function section of the datasheet, RLDIN can be tied to AVDD if not being used. Additionally the RLD amp can be powered down to save power. The rest of the pins can float if unused. e2e.ti.com/.../367241 2) It is a separate clock. Respiration clock frequency can be seen on page 15 of the datasheet, 32-64kHz is reccomended. 3) Using an external clock is not necessary. It is possible to use the internal clock of one device and route to the next device in the chain. e2e.ti.com/.../662475 4) How to configure daisy chained devices: e2e.ti.com/.../665600 e2e.ti.com/.../611270 Other threads that may be helpful: e2e.ti.com/.../612447 e2e.ti.com/.../456679

Forum Post: RE: DAC8775: DAC8775 power supply
Hi Olivier, The device will likely function below the recommended minimum input voltage but the specifications listed in the datasheet can only be guaranteed if the input voltage is between the recommended min and max. I would suggest using a supply set slightly above the minimum input voltage to avoid this condition. Thanks, Garrett

Hi Christoph, Can you provide details of the mode you are using, specifically, sampling rate, interpolation, LMFS? If DAC PLL is used, what is the reference clock frequency? mem_init_state refers to bits [1:0] in register address 0x00. Thanks, Eben.

Forum Post: DATACONVERTERPRO-SW: HSDC Pro Automation DLL
Part Number: DATACONVERTERPRO-SW Hi, I'm using HSDC Pro Automation DLL (called from Python script) but finding that all calls that involve using a file return error 7006 (file or path invalid). So print("Using HSDC Ready function to check if the GUI is Ready...") Err_Status = HSDC_Pro.HSDC_Ready(120000) print("Error Status = " + str(Err_Status)) print("Passing ADC Output Data Rate = " + str(Datarate)) Err_Status = HSDC_Pro.Pass_ADC_Output_Data_Rate(c_double(Datarate),TimeoutinMs) print("Error Status = " + str(Err_Status)) print("setting the number of samples " + str(SampleCount)) Err_Status = HSDC_Pro.ADC_Analysis_Window_Length(SampleCount,TimeoutinMs) print("Error Status = " + str(Err_Status)) results in this: Using HSDC Ready function to check if the GUI is Ready... Error Status = 0 Passing ADC Output Data Rate = 250000000 Error Status = 0 setting the number of samples 16384 Error Status = 0 GUI text boxes are updated as a result. So communication with the DLL is working. However any attempt to use a file such as this print("loading csv file to GUI") csvfile = "C:adc_rd_file.csv" if (os.path.exists(csvfile)): print("file does exist") Err_Status = HSDC_Pro.ADC_Import_Data_File(csvfile, 12, 1, TimeoutinMs) print("Error Status = " + str(Err_Status)) else: print("file doesn't exist") returns the following loading csv file to GUI file does exist C:adc_rd_file.csv Error Status from import data = 7006 for the file name I tried C:adc_rd_file.csv, C:/adc_rd_file.csv, C:\\adc_rd_file.csv with the same result. Note that the os call indicates the file exists. If I try other commands using files eg print("writing PNG") Err_Status = HSDC_Pro.Save_FFT_As_PNG( 1, "C:fft.png", TimeoutinMs) print("Error Status from PNG write = " + str(Err_Status)) I also see 7006 returned I have tried placing the file in different directories and providing full network paths etc ...same result. I see your working example of how to use the DLL from Python and beleive I am following that. Any suggestions? thanx A

Forum Post: Linux/FDC1004: FDC1004
Part Number: FDC1004 Tool/software: Linux Hi, Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm pretty new in this field. I tried to accomplish the project like this https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/team-protocentral/non-contact-capacitive-liquid-level-sensing-using-fdc1004-9333c7 but with Rasp Berry Pi 3b+ instead of Arduino. 2 electrodes, one connect with port CIN1 and another one connect to the ground. I connect SCL and SDA correctly with Rasp Berry Pi and supply 5 Volts power from Rasp Berry Pi to the FDC1004 shared ground. What I could get is the ID and manufacturer data but couldn't get the read out data of capacity from the electrodes. I tried with Arduino and it worked but with Pi, I couldn't make it read the data. I'm not sure what am I doing wrong. If anyone have a clue or library related to this, any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Forum Post: RE: ADC32RF45EVM: Real-time streaming and processing possible?
Thanks Brian! I got a TSW14J56 and an ADC32RF45EVM and am currently trying to go through the ADC32RFxx-EVM guide slau620D.pdf found on the TI website. I have a question on section 3.2 step 4. It asks me to connect an analog RF signal to AINP SMA (J2). When I look at the board, the connector J2 is AINM and AINP is actually J1 and it does not have an SMA connector soldered to it. I want to confirm if this a typo ( I am supposed to connect to AINM and not AINP) OR am I supposed to solder an SMA connector to AINP and continue with the test. Please clarify. Even the Fig 1 in the document shows AINP as J1 and AINM as J2.

Forum Post: RE: ADS54J60: Missing Filter coefficient in datasheets
Hi Jim We would use it to verify the distortion created by the internal filter. Alot of times its unclear why we see distortion. Since no filter is perfect, knowing the coefficients are for your filter will help us to rule out one variable. What we would do is take the raw capture and apply the filter coefficients using Matlab. If the distortion that we see is similar, then we know it comes from your filter and not something else like power. i hope you can get me those coefficients. Whenever we use a part, its always good to know how it performs. If its a black box then its of no use to us as any unexpected results would be blamed on that device. Thanks for your help in this matter. Layne

Hi Tom : Thanks for answering. For question 1 : If the signal comes from a DC/DC switching converter, the switching frequency is 300KHz, so the output ripple voltage may also has a frequency 300KHz, therefore, the sample rate of my design should be over 300KHz. Is this ideas correct ?
