Part Number: DAC38RF85 Section 8.4.3 of the datasheet provides a description of how to set the PLL_VCO field in the PLL_CONFIG2 register to tune the VCO frequency. It makes no mention of temperature or loop filter voltage. The application info (not part of the TI component spec!) in section 9.1.1 then contains a startup sequence that says that the PLL_VCO value should be adjusted according to temperature and voltage reported. BTW - it would be v helpful if you used the register/field names here in the datasheet instead of register address & bit numbers ! It shows this being done at startup only - does it also need to be re-adjusted if the temperature changes whilst the DAC is running ? If so, can the VCO tune be adjusted while the DAC is operational without affecting PLL lock ? Is there any data that is part of the TI component spec that does provide data of how to configure PLL_VCO for a required VCO frequency in a given temperature range ? Thanks ! Paul
