Hi,
I consulted with our design team for this device and with the data sheet author. It was not our intent to have an 'LVDS' input buffer that required such a large swing that it could not be driven by a normal LVDS driver. In fact, the LVDS input buffer for this device can accept differential swings of 100mV or larger, and so the next time the data sheet is revised we will edit the min spec of the LVDS input swing to be 100mV.
