Part Number: ADS8681WEVM-PDK Tool/software: Hi TI, our IT dept. installed the GUI on my computer. After starting it admin rights are needed to proceed. Of course our IT does not like that at all. They might let me use your GUI, if they knew what files or folders the program will access ... Similar threads mentioned that issue were posted in your forum. Can you provide any information on what the GUI does (accessing) during start or later use? Thank you for your cooperation. Regards Andreas

When I try to write a register (0x46 for instance), the chip doesnt echoes first byte (address = 0x46): I got the same behaviour when I try a read (0x20 address). What am I missing ? Thanks

As mentioned in a different thread TI issued a new version of the GUI avoiding the need of admin rights. Here is the link to the thread: (1) ADS9224REVM-PDK: GUI software privileges - Data converters forum - Data converters - TI E2E support forums Does TI plan to fix this and release a new version of the GUI? - Please let me know, if you do so. Hi Jimmy, Schematic looks okay to me. Few questions : 1. Are you using internal reference ? 2. What is the USB of LM2904V opamp that you have used in the DAC OUT and VSENSEP path ? Thanks, Sanjay

Forum Post: RE: AMC3336: AMC3336QDWERQ1 - As an isolated power supply
Hello Alexander, Thank you for your feedback. Below I am attaching a higher level Overview of the system I am trying to design. As an explanation: I am on the process of designing the evaluation board for a full bridge DC-DC converter. On this converter, and related to my question posted here, I am interested in measuring the DC-Link voltage, Load voltage, and temperature of the transistors I am using. For the temperature measurement, I am considering the ISO_TMP35. For the DC-Link, and Load voltage measurement, I am considering the AMC3336. As I mentioned before, one of my objectives is to use as few components as I can. This is why I considered supplying the two ISOTMP35s from the output of one of the AMC3336s (the one that i will use for DC-Link voltage measurement). I am considering to place these temperature sensors on the HVDC- side of the transistors. I am doing this because, if I am correct, this should allow me to use one isolated power supply for both of these sensors. The isolated power output of the AMC3336 is referred to HGND, which at the same time is on the same node as the HVDC-. These implications make me consider using one of the AMC3336 as an isolated power supply for the temperature sensors. At the same time, to answer your question, the MCU that will be reading the temperature VOUT is NOT referred to the same HV potential as the high side (HGND). I hope this gives a better overview of what i am trying to do. Hopefully there is more feedback I can get from you or from anyone else. At the same I will create another thread from the TMP perspective. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Kosta Kotsis e2e.ti.com/.../High_5F00_Level_5F00_Schematic_5F00_Overview.pdf

Forum Post: AMC3336: AMC3336 for outout voltage measurement - FullBridge Converter
Part Number: AMC3336 Tool/software: Hi all, I am on the process of designing an evaluation board for a full bridge DC-DC Converter. On this converter, I am interested in measuring the DC-Link voltage and Ouput voltage (across my load). For this purpose i am making use of the AMC3336. So i ham considering using two of these on my board. the design for the DC-Link voltage measurement, seems pretty straightforward as I am referring the HS Ground of this component, to the HVDC- of my system. So effectively, the DCDC_HGND of the component, and the HGND(HVDC-) of the system are on the same node. The questions and concerns I have are for the output voltage measurement. Considering that this measurement will be done between the midpoints of the two half bridges of the converter, to what potential should I refer the DCDC_HGND pin of the AMC3336? Having this referred to the HVDC- of my system, as I have done for the other AMC3336 measuring the DC-Link voltage, does not seem correct since these two points of my system will have different potentials at different points in time. So, should I refer this to the mid point of one of my half bridges? Here I have also attached a high level schematic overview of my system. Looking forward to any advice and recommendation. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Kosta Kotsis e2e.ti.com/.../2476.High_5F00_Level_5F00_Schematic_5F00_Overview.pdf

Forum Post: RE: ADS1014-Q1: power consumption based on 125C and 105C
Hi Ann Lien, We only have data available at the test conditions stated in the data sheet. Note that maximum and minimum specifications apply from TA = –40°C to +125°C, so at +125°C the current consumption will not exceed the max value stated in the data sheet. Having a different FSR setting does not affect the power consumption, you can expect the same values at other FSR settings as the FSR = 2.048V stated in the data sheet. Best Regards, Angel

Forum Post: RE: ADS1014-Q1: power consumption based on 125C and 105C
The max current consumption (including temperature range up to 125C) is 300uA. You can multiply this value times the VDD voltage value to get the max power dissipation of the device. At 5V, this would be 1.5mW. This is the max power consumption of the device, across all temperatures. Actual value will typically be lower than this.

Hi Omkar, Can you provide an image rather than a google drive link? RTD circuits require using an external reference with the reference voltage generated by the IDAC current through a reference resistor for ratiometric measurements. Using the internal reference instead is likely the reason your adc readings are unstable. Here's an example: It might be a good idea to take a look at the following app note for information and examples on how to implement an RTD circuit: A Basic Guide to RTD Measurements (Rev.
