Hi Hari, The TI JESD IP archive contains reference designs that are built for loopback based testing. For example, you can use the ZCU102*8b10b design for this. Please refer to the TI JESD IP user guide for details on how you can create a top level testbench, force the clocks and connect the loopback signals. If you follow the reset sequence listed, you should be able to see the link bringup working. This will also explain the behavior of the SYSREF and SYNCn signals. The SYSREF can either be a pulse or a periodic signal. If periodic, it's period should be an integer multiple of the multiframe period. The SYNCn signal is driven from the receiver to the transmitter, and should be timed away from the next multi-frame boundary (to give adequate setup). In your case, it seems like you have configured the IP to be RX only, as all the Tx related lines are undriven. Regards, Ameet
