Hi everybody,
i´m trying to measure an EMG signal (Differential Inputs) and I am not sure where to place my electrodes. I assume that I will need 3 Electrodes (2 for muscles and 1 for reference) or 4 Electrodes (2 for muscles, 1 for reference and 1 for DRL [Driven right leg]) I don´t know if I need one extra electrode for driven right leg (DRL) or not?
I want to connect the 2 electrodes EL1 and EL2 for the muscles with pin 30 (CH2-) and pin 32 (CH2+) of J6. Than I want to short the positiv and negative pins of all the other channels, because i don´t need them. That means Jumpers on (6-8),(10-12),(14-16),(18-20),(22-24),(26-28) and (34-36) of J6!
And now it comes to the reference. I´m kind of confused about this. I would connect my reference electrode to pin 6 of JP25. But what to do with pin (1-2) and (3-4) now? Let them just open or put jumpers on them? In the settings it sais: External Input Short to VCM: Jumper on (1-2),(3-4)! And shall I change something about JP6, JP7 or JP8?
The second option I can think of to place the refernce electrode: Should I just put a Jumper on (5-6) of JP25 and connect my reference electrode to that? To short pin 5 and pin 6 of JP25 connects the BIAS to the REF. Would this replace an extra electrode for the DRL? What to do with pin (1-2) and (3-4) than? Just let them open? And again: Shall I change something about JP6, JP7 or JP8?
Is one of my options right?
I appreciate any kind of help.
Thank you guys,
Shaghayegh
