Part Number: ADS1015-Q1 Tool/software: Hello experts, We want to use ADS1015-Q1 to the satellite project. Are there any restrictions on using it on satellites? We are understanding that is not protected against outgassing and radiation. We would like to confirm whether there are any using restrictions by TI regarding the use of automotive grade products in space applications. Best regards, Toru Kimura.

Hi Toru, There is no restrictions. However, TI cannot guarantee the functionality of products used outside of their specified operating environment. Space is considered outside the specified operating environment for TI automotive and commercial products. We offer two space enhanced plastics ADC, which are ideal for LEO applications ADC128-SEP and ADC168-SEP and we offer other radiation hardened products for MEO / GEO applications. All additional space-grade precision ADC products can be found here . -Kyle

Forum Post: ADS1284: High Frequency performance at high gains
Part Number: ADS1284 Tool/software: We use the ADS1284 in some of our products. An end-user has stated that they have noticed an unusual drop-off in high-frequency response for higher gain levels. I have asked the end-user for more information, and have checked the datasheet, but I see no mention of gain-dependent frequency response of this part. Is there perhaps an undocumented gain-badndwidth effect of the PGA, or something else that could explain this behaviour? Thanks, Gareth

Forum Post: RE: ADS127L11: DRDY-pin is not getting low
Hello Keith, Thank you for detailed explanations. Two more questions: 1. Could you please review updated SPI capture bellow. is it correct? 2. If I get your explanations right: If we want to have sampling rate 50KHZ then we need to drive "Start" pin with 50KHZ signal and set OSR filter with 256(config 3 register), Does it makes sense? Please advise at your earlies convenience. Thank you for all your support. Regards, Iouri SPI CFG

Forum Post: RE: ADS1299: Power consumption
Hi Saeed, There should be some quiescent power consumed by the voltage inverter, but I'm not sure if you should expect an additional 7.3 mA. I can try to check this on our EVM and see if the result is similar. We would be interested in learning more about the product you are working on. I'll send you an email offline. Regards, Ryan

Forum Post: RE: ADS8588S: Assistance in Selecting ADC and Op-Amp for SMU Project
Hello Mahdi! Welcome to the TI E2E Forum! It is very exciting to hear about your capstone project and I would be happy to help! The ADS8588S is definitely a good option for this, but we have a few other options of ADC's that have at least 16-bit ADCs capable of ±12V ( with and without some additional configurations)! So I have some follow up questions: Have you designed your current and voltage paths? Are you planning to use a current shunt? or what method were you thinking for current measurement? Did you want the inputs to just go directly to the ADC? Typically we recommend to have additional circuitry to drive the inputs of an ADC, but there are some options where that part is integrated. What does your force path look like? You mention 16 channels, would you be ok with more than 2 devices (2x16-Ch or 4x8-Ch..etc.)? is simultaneous sampling of both current and voltage per channel be something you would like to aim for? Any consideration to speed/timing/response time? Do you need a fast ADC or is a slower sample rate ok? This would also be helpful when picking the OpAmp for your force circuitry as well. We have some resources that can help answer the questions, so hopefully it isn't too overwhelming! This document talks about PLC monitors instead of SMUs, but there is some overlap with the voltage/current measurement side as well as the higher channel counts. It compares different types of ADC, inputs configurations, and some additional features some of devices have. Our Precision Labs ADCs series also covers this information We also have this other resource that shows a an SMU in a block diagram that offers suggestions on devices for different functions as well as links to some of our reference designs. For the OpAmp selection, I would say for ±12V and ~±20mA there are a good amount of options as well. I would suggest looking into what kind of speed/response time, precision and stability you'd like to achieve and then we can either loop in my counterparts in the OpAmp team or you could post a similar question on the OpAmp E2E forum. Best regards, Yolanda

Part Number: AMC7836 Tool/software: Hello, My customer wants to know if AMC7836 can receive -5V to +5V as ADC input under below power conditions. Is it possible for the ADC to receive a negative voltage under the condition that the DAC uses a positive voltage? - AVDD : +5V - AGND, DGND : GND(0V) - AVEE = AVSSB = AVSSC = AVSSD : GND(0V) Thank you. Forum Post: ADS4129: Inquiry regarding ADS4129 usage
Part Number: ADS4129 Tool/software: Hi, TI expert The customer is planning to use ADS4129. - Application : Ultrasonic beauty device for measuring skin thickness Q1) The output signal of ADS4129 is Parallel LVDS and Parallel CMOS output, and I want to connect this output signal to MCU. However, it seems that there is no MCU that can receive Parallel LVDS signal. In this case, how can I connect the ADC output signal? Q2) Can you recommend an MCU or Processor to connect the output signal of ADS4129? Q3) If the above method does not work, I looked at other ADC products and they have different output signal types (for example, Serial LVDS, Serial CMOS, JESD204A, JESD204B). Please guide me on how to connect these products to MCU. Q4) Can I connect the Serial LVDS signal to the PECI port of the MCU as an alternative? Q5) Is there any way to check if the conversion data is correct when the ADC and MCU are connected normally? Please check. Thank you.

Hi Saleh, No, I'm not getting a pop-up - just the splash which shows the busy blue circle. I will reinstall. Is there a specific version of NI Labview Runtime that I should install? I didn't take a screenshot during the install , but one of the screens asked for Labview Runtime from 2019 So I downloaded ni-labview-2019-runtime-engine-x86_19.0_online_repack3.exe and got that installed. Thanks

Part Number: AMC131M03 Tool/software: Hello, After configuring the registers correctly (CLK_DIV and DCDC_CTRL) and verifying that the voltage is stable on HLDO_OUT, I powered the analog side with 15 V and received the following data: "0x00 0x05 0x07 0x00 0xDE 0xEE 0x39 0x18 0xC3 0x89 0xF0 0xCD 0x11 0x9A C7 ". I also verified that the registers were properly configured by sending an RREG command. Besides, I checked the standard commands such as RESET. Could someone help me decrypt the data ? Thank you.
