Forum Post: RE: TLV320AIC34 and TLV320AIC3105 queries

Hi,

We have the following queries:

1. Attenuation (3-4dB) is observed in the frequency response of the codec AIC3105 at the higher end about 18KHz for the sampling frequency of 48KHz.
2. Decimation filter configuration for the codec AIC3105. Currently it has the configuration: Left and right digital microphones are used (Page 0/Reg 107, D5=0, D4=0). Do we need to change it to ‘ Left and right analog microphones are used ’ (D5=1, D4=1) for analog audio input on line in ?
3. How to connect single MICDET to the two mic inputs of each block of the codec AIC34? Do we need to short it to both the inputs for each block?
4. Is there any way to support jack/headset detection on line outputs of the codec AIC34? Can we use the GPIOs of the codec for this purpose?
