Hi Ajay, Open drain mode is suggested if you'd like to combine multiple open drain signals to control a Drain Enable signal. If you only want the PAON signal for the drain control, push-pull will be sufficient. The PAON pin does not interact with the GaN gates, its only used to indicate if the AFE20408 is in an alarm state or not, so you don't have to use it if you don't want to. Thanks, Erin
