Hi George, This sounds like ESD or EMI/RFI that is getting into the system and causing the ADS1120 to reset. It would be interesting to know if you are still able to communicate to the device after the event takes place to confirm the device has reset back to default register settings. Can you send me your schematic? Is this in a prototyping setup where you have fly-wires between the ADS1120 and the micro? Best regards, Bob B
