Hello,
Sounds like a basic question, and it is, but I am configured about the ADS1015 I2C interface.
Background FYI, I've been working with several I2C components, and most of the time there is a bus address, a command register (byte), followed by some data (sometimes).
However, it seems as though there is no concept of command register for the ADS1015, we just read/write data (byte, word, etc).
Is this a sound assumption? If not would someone please clarify?
After that, how do we manage the ALERT/RDY status when monitoring for, say, temperature driver controls. Like we set nominal low and high threshold values and await what values? i.e. read from the config and/or conversion register(s)?
Thank you...
Regards,
Michael Powell
