I am using the ADC12J4000EVM GUI V1.00 and the HSDC Pro V2.60 with the TSW14J56 Rev B EVM board.
In non-decimating bypass mode, the FFT output appears as expected. However, with decimation applied, the output always behaves as if decimation = 4 and NCO frequency = 0 Hz. I have tried settings for decimation by 4,8, and 10, and numerous NCO values and all provide the same FFT output. This also includes the example given in the TI web video (Clk=3760, dec by 10, NCO = 1.6GHz) whch is not working for me.
Here is one example of my settings:
HSDC Pro settings:ADC = ADC12J4000_D10_DDR. ADC output rate = 310 MHz.
ADC12J4000 settings:
RF in = 680 MHz @ -1 dBm
On-board clock = 3100 MHz
NCO: Preset 0, Register bits. tuning word = 969831325 Indicated freq = 700 MHz.
Actual FFT output = 95 MHz, and remains so for any NCO setting.
The process is 1)set all ADC values, 2) press "Program Clocks and ADC" 3)Press Execute Foreground CAL" 4 ) Reset HSDC 5) Press capture
Why can't I set the NCO and decimation?
Also, I can not find any documentation for the ADC12J4000 register descriptions. Is that available?
