Forum Post: Using DAC34H84EVM with Altera FPGA

Hi,

We want to use DAC34H84EVM with Altera FPGA. Following link states that “The DAC34H84EVM includes an HSMC input for direct connection to HSMC compatible Altera based FPGA EVMs”

However, when I try to connect the DAC to FPGA HSMC port, mechanically two HSMC ports are not able to connect.

Do we need any HSMC to DAC connector to achieve this?

I am looking for answers from experienced users, who used this DAC with Altera FPGA. Is there any way around to make it work!
