Sorry about that, you are right. I will have to talk with the digital designer if you wish to know the absolute maximum current source/sink limits. I believe 500uA was only used as a test condition, where I_OH = -500uA would produce 0.9*DVDD output and I_OL = +500uA would produce 0.1*DVDD output.

When configured as inputs (i.e. the GPIO is driven), you should expect between -10uA and +10uA of input current.

I'm not sure if we have measured data or simulation only for Logic Level Output Voltage vs. Current (I_OH and I_OL). If you require it, I will provide what is available.
