Hi Stephen,

I'm not quite clear on your concern. The interpolation filters are wideband lowpass filters simply meant to remove the image created during the zero stuffing process. Without the interpolation filters you would have zeros between each of your samples, likely not what you're looking for.

The DAC38J84 can be used without interpolation (1x mode) which will not use any digital filters. In this case, the DAC is simply a straight DAC that will output the signal exactly as you provide it. There should be no issues with doing this.
