Forum Post: ADS129x use GPIO during power-down

Hello,

I'm using an ADS1298. There are some cases in my application in which I could use the GPIO pins even without sampling and collecting data; so I would like to set the GPIO values, and then power-down the ADS (by dropping the PWDN pin).

In the datasheet and in the forum I found no info about the GPIOs state in power-down mode; during my tests it looks like the GPIO values are kept during power-down and power-up cycles.

Is it safe to rely on the GPIO values while entering and exiting power-down?
