Forum Post: LMP91000 in Stand Alone Mode

Hello,

First time user here: I am currently trying to use the LMP91000 EVM in stand alone mode and am trying to interface it with a microcontroller. I want to make sure I can read from the LMP91000 to the microcontroller before integrating any sensors. I am trying to stimulate the TIA directly with a current source and read VOUT using the microcontroller's ADC.

I have removed R7 and R8, am supplying 4V to between VDD and GND, and am implementing the pull up resistors on a breadboard. I shorted J-MENB pins 2 and 3, but I am unsure what to do with pin 1. Do I leave it floating or connect this to the microcontroller? If so where? I also noticed this in the user guide:

SCL pin 12 of SPIO-GPSI16
SDA pin 11 of SPIO-GPSI16
GND pin 2 of SPIO-GPSI16

That I can handle, but should I also connect SCL and SDA of the microcontroller to the other testpoints on the eval board? There is an SCL test point, an SCLK test point, and an SDA test point that are currently floating...

Thanks,

Will
