Forum Post: TLV320AIC3204 BEEP GENERATION IN PCM STREAM

Hello,

I have a circuit transmitting 64kbps audio (8-bit @ 8kHz) audio out on the DOUT pin of an AIC3204 CODEC.

I saw that the CODEC can do beep generation but it seems to be out onto the DAC only.

So, my question is: while audio is going out on the DOUT pin, is there a way that I can "tell" the CODEC to inject, let's say, an 800kHz beep for 250ms on the DOUT pin?
